What's Available

 

Sanctuary21 is a cafe run by the Salvation Army which is open to the general public, which is located on Saddler Street near to Durham Cathedral.

 

Sanctuary21  provides the following services to people whom are homeless or at risk of homelessness:

  • Free soup, toastie and tea and coffee between 10:30 to 12:00 hrs is available to homeless people.

  • Advice and support of what to do and whom to turn to for help.

  • Access to a telephone for essential calls.

  • A shower is available.

  • Sleeping bags and blankets can be given out.

  • A voucher for clothing and footwear for use in the Salvation Army Charity Shop on North Road can be granted.

  • The chance to meet and network with other people.

  • Can charge up your mobile phone using the electric wall sockets.

  • Representatives from the Stonham Homestay Service are available between 10:30 to 12:30hrs on most Mondays.

We now have free Wi-Fi
for our Cafe users.

Opening Times: 10:30 to 14:00 hrs, Monday to Friday, except Tuesday when they close at 13:00 hrs.
